Gifts from Union Gap
Union Gap is a small city in south-central Washington, just across the Naches River from Yakima, and the people who call it home tend to be proud of exactly that: a close-knit town with its own identity rather than a suburb of anywhere. A Union Gap shirt is how a local shows that, whether they still live there, went off to school and came back, or have been gone for years and miss the place. Because the name itself is distinctive, the word does a lot of the work on its own. A tee in the lighter colorways is a good everyday pick, and a dark shirt or hoodie suits cooler weather. Kids and babies can wear the city's name too, which makes a Union Gap onesie a sweet gift for a new family with local roots. For the one who moved away, a mug with the town name on it is a small daily reminder of where they're from. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a street, a school mascot or a year to make it personal.
