Picking a gift for a unit nurse manager
A unit nurse manager runs a whole floor, which means they're the one who schedules the shifts, backs up the staff on a bad night and still ends the day with a stack of charting to finish. They tend to be the last person to take a break and the first to notice when someone on the team is struggling. A gift for them should acknowledge that leadership load without getting too serious about it. A tee or hoodie with their title on the front and their unit underneath, such as ICU, Med-Surg or Labor and Delivery, says you know exactly what they oversee. Add their name or the credential they worked for, like RN or MSN, and it becomes theirs rather than a generic management shirt. A mug for the office works well too, since the coffee is usually cold by the time they get to it. Nurses Week falls May 6 to 12 every year, and it's a natural moment to recognize a manager who spent the year holding the unit together.
Unit Nurse Manager gift questions
Can I add a credential like MSN or RN after the title?
Yes. Type it into the text box after their name or on its own line, then check the live preview to make sure the spacing looks right.
Is there a shirt that works for a nurse manager and their team?
The Team Shop lets you choose one design and list everyone's name, so the manager and their staff can all wear the same shirt with their own name on it.
When is a good time to give a nurse manager a gift?
Nurses Week in May is the most common time, but any season works, especially around a promotion or the anniversary of a unit opening.
What sizes do the unit nurse manager shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a unit nurse manager gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
