Picking a gift for a user experience researcher
User experience researchers spend their days watching people try to use products and figuring out where the friction is. They run interviews, sit in on usability sessions, read through piles of survey responses and then have to convince a product team that the thing they built confuses people. It's detailed, often lonely work, and a lot of it happens in quiet rooms with a notebook. A gift that acknowledges that craft tends to land better than a generic job tee. Add their title, or the words UX Research, on a hoodie they'll wear to the office or a coffee shop, or on an 11 oz mug that gets them through the afternoon synthesis session. If they've just finished a certification or a degree in human-computer interaction, put that year on the shirt. It's a small way of saying you noticed what they actually do.
User Experience Researcher gift questions
Can I add a specialty like UX Research or Usability to the design?
Yes. Type the specialty into the text box or add it on the second line. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is this a good gift for someone just starting in UX research?
It can be. A tee or mug with their title marks a first job or a career change, and it's something they'll use while they settle into the role.
Can I put a company name on the shirt?
You can type any text you like, but keep in mind that the designs are personal and a company name won't signal any official connection to that employer.
Are there designs for a whole research team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to choose one design, paste the team's names and pick a size for each person.
What sizes do the user experience researcher shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a user experience researcher gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
