About this admissions specialist gift
Admissions specialists spend their days answering questions that matter a lot to the person asking: where's my application, what's the deadline, can I still get in. They run campus tours, field phone calls, work college fairs and open houses, and read the same anxious email in a dozen different forms. It's a job that's equal parts patience and cheerleading, and the people who do it well rarely hear thanks. A gift for them works best when it's something they can wear on a tour day or keep on the desk through application season. Put their name on it, or their title spelled out the way their office uses it, whether that's admissions counselor, enrollment advisor or admissions specialist. If you're buying for a department, one design with everyone's name makes a good match for fall recruitment events, and a hoodie handles the overheated-in-the-morning, freezing-in-the-evening swing of a long event day.
