About this brasher falls gift
Brasher Falls is a small village in St. Lawrence County in northern New York, close to the Canadian border, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it tightly. A gift with the village name on it speaks to someone who knows the place by its hardware store, its school colors and the drive out to the river. It also suits a family member who left for college or work and still calls it home when they're asked where they're from. Because the place is small, a shirt or mug with just the name can read as an inside joke only the right people will get, which is part of its charm. Add a second line with a class year, a family name or the words Class of if they went to the local school, and the gift becomes specific to their own history. Hoodies are a good pick for the cold northern winters, and mugs fit the kitchen where everyone ends up at the holidays.
