About this director library gift
A library director usually started out shelving books or running a reference desk, then spent years in budget meetings, staff schedules and community board presentations. The gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge the whole path: a mug for the early morning before the first meeting, a hoodie for the cold building that always seems too chilly, a tee for the Friday when the branch finally gets to close early. Put the title on the design, and add the library's name or the branch if you know it, so it reads as theirs and not as a generic librarian shirt. A Library Director shirt also suits a retirement, a promotion or a farewell from the staff, because it marks what the person has built. If you're shopping for a whole team, the Team Shop lets you print one design with each colleague's name on their own shirt, which is a nice way to say thanks to the person who keeps the place running.
