About this encampment gift
Encampment is a place name with a lot of different meanings depending on who you ask. For some people it's a small town, a campground, or a historic site where a settlement or military camp once stood. For others it's just the word they grew up hearing on a map. Since the word can refer to very different places, the best gift starts with knowing which one the person means. If they've lived in an encampment or spent summers at one, a shirt or hoodie with the word on it is a quiet way of saying you remember where they're from. Add a second line with a year, a family name, or the place's full name, and the design becomes theirs. For someone who's moved away, a mug with the word on it is a small daily reminder of home, and for a child, a kids tee or onesie can start a story about where they come from.
