About this los alamos gift
Los Alamos is a small town on a mesa in northern New Mexico, and a lot of the people who live there have a link to the national lab that grew up beside it. Residents tend to talk about the mesa, the pine and juniper air, and the drive down to Santa Fe for work or a long weekend. A shirt with Los Alamos on it is how someone who's lived there, or who grew up there and moved away, says where they're from. It's a good choice for the person who went off to college or a job elsewhere and misses the high desert. For someone who's just moved there, a hoodie for the cold mornings or a mug for the kitchen says welcome in a way a generic souvenir doesn't. Add a year, a street, or a graduating class under the name so it reads as theirs and not just the town's.
