About this manager managing gift
Managers spend a lot of their week in the middle, passing things up and down, handling the meeting that ran long and the schedule that fell apart. The gifts they keep tend to be the ones that acknowledge that job, not a generic office joke. A tee for the commute, a hoodie for the cold conference room, or a mug for the desk where the coffee always goes cold can all work, as long as the wording feels like it was written for them. Put the word manager on it, or a more specific title like project manager, operations manager or store manager if you know it. Add a team or department on the second line if that's useful. It turns a stock office gift into something that feels like it knows their week. If they've just been promoted into the role, a mug with their new title is a warm way to mark the change.
