About this monhegan gift
Monhegan is a small island about ten miles off the coast of Maine, reached by a ferry from Port Clyde or New Harbor, and it has no paved roads or cars to speak of. The year-round population is tiny, and the summer crowd of painters, hikers and lobstermen keeps the harbor busy until the boats stop running in the fall. A gift for someone with a Monhegan connection usually comes from the place itself: a summer that ran a little long, a winter spent on the island, or a family that has been coming out for generations. A shirt or hoodie with Monhegan on it is a quiet way to say you remember where they've been. For someone who has only visited, a mug works well, since many people who go once end up talking about it for years. You can add a second line with a year or a family name, which makes the design feel like theirs rather than a souvenir.

- A tee for the next ferry rideA light cotton tee with Monhegan is an easy pick for anyone who still talks about the harbor.
- A mug for the kitchen back homeAn 11 oz mug gives someone who misses the island a daily reminder of it.
- A kids tee for a summer familyIf a child has spent summers out there, a kids tee with the island name is a fun keepsake.
