About this sykeston gift
Sykeston is a small place, and people who come from small places tend to hold on to them hard. Someone who grew up there, or whose family did, probably knows exactly which street the old diner was on and who ran the feed store. A shirt with the town name is how they wear that, whether they're at a college campus or a job two states away. Small-town pride shows up most on the things people actually use: a hoodie for cold mornings, a mug for the kitchen where they catch up on town news, a tee for a homecoming weekend. Add a second line with the year they left, or the year they moved back, and it becomes a detail only someone from there would recognize. Since I don't know much about Sykeston's history or its local landmarks, the strongest gift here comes from what you know about the person, not from guessing at the town.
