About this tallahassee gift
Tallahassee is the capital of Florida and a college town, home to two universities, so it pulls in students who stay for years and a lot of state government workers who've made it their home. A shirt that says Tallahassee is how a longtime resident or an alum says where they're from, whether that's for a game weekend, a summer visit back home or just the state capital joke that never gets old. It's a smaller city than people expect, with a lot of pine, red clay and humid summers, so a light tee suits everyday wear while a hoodie covers the cold snaps that do come in January. For someone who left and misses it, a Tallahassee mug is a daily reminder of home. Add a neighborhood, a school year or a graduating class on the second line and the shirt becomes theirs instead of a souvenir.
