About this wheatley heights gift
Wheatley Heights is a hamlet on Long Island, New York, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto that address long after they've moved on. A shirt with the name on it is how a former neighbor or a longtime resident says where they're from, whether that's to a coworker in another state or to a kid who keeps asking where Grandma lives. Hometown gifts land best when they carry some of the life that happened there: the school they went to, the year they moved in, the street they grew up on. Add that in the second line of the design, or use the year on a hoodie for a family that's been there for a while. For someone who now lives far away, a mug with the name each morning is a small reminder of home. For a family, a matching set of tees for a block party or a reunion turns the place name into something the whole household shares.
