About this cape verde gift
Cape Verde is an archipelago of ten volcanic islands about 570 kilometers off the coast of West Africa, and the people who carry it with them tend to be proud of the islands even when they've lived abroad for decades. Many have family in the diaspora in the United States, Portugal and New England, and a Cape Verde shirt is often how they keep a connection to the islands visible in a new city. The national music, morna and funaná, and the islands' creole language, Kriolu, are part of what makes the identity feel specific. For a gift to land, it helps to know whether the person grew up on the islands or is a second-generation family member, and to choose the design that fits that story. You can type Cape Verde into the text box, add an island name like Santiago, Brava or Sal on the second line if you want something more personal, and the live preview will show you how it looks before you order.
