About this chesapeake city gift
Chesapeake City is a small canal town on the Maryland side of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them for life. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a reunion, a college football game, or a family trip back for the summer festival. Many of the people who'd wear one moved away for work or school and still call the place home, so the gift says you remember where they came from. For a local, the second line of a design is where the personal detail goes: a year they graduated from the high school, a street, or the phrase they always used. Kids' tees and baby onesies suit families raising the next generation of hometown kids, and a mug on the kitchen counter is a daily reminder of the water and the town.
