About this coquille gift
Coquille is a small town on the south Oregon coast, sitting on the river of the same name in Coos County, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how someone who left for school or work says where they're from, and how a neighbor on the other side of the country knows to ask. Small towns make for good gifts because the people who live there are proud of the place in a quiet way, not a loud one. A tee for a summer visit back home, a hoodie for the first cold coastal winter after a move, or a mug for the kitchen table where the local paper gets read all say the same thing: we know where you're from. Add a second line with the year they graduated, a street, or a family name, and the design becomes theirs rather than just the town's.
