About this deweyville gift
Deweyville is a small town, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how a former resident says where they're from when someone asks, and how a current resident marks the places that matter to them: the main street, the school, the summer festival. Since the town is small, a second line can do a lot of work. Put in a graduation year, a high school class, or the street they grew up on, and the shirt starts to mean something only a few people would fully understand. The same goes for the family who moved away and misses home. A Deweyville mug on the kitchen counter in a city apartment is a quiet reminder of where they started. If you're not sure of local details, stick to things you know about the person, like their own family's time there, and let the town name do the rest.
