About this jermyn gift
Jermyn is a small borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, and the name is more likely to be carried by people who grew up there than by anyone else. A Jermyn shirt tends to land with someone who has a real connection to the place: a family that's been there for generations, a former resident who moved away, or a kid whose first hometown is also their last name. Because the place is small and not widely known, the shirt does most of its work for people who already feel the pull of it. Put the word on a shirt or hoodie and it becomes a small statement of where they're from. For the person who left, a mug on the kitchen counter does the same job in the morning. You can add a second line with a street, a school, or the year they were born, which turns a town name into something that belongs only to them.
