About this manager review gift
A manager review is the meeting most managers dread and the one they remember most, usually because it means someone has spent weeks writing up what they've done well and what they could do better. Whether they're a team lead, a department head or the person who runs the review cycle for the whole company, they spend a lot of time with spreadsheets, calibration sessions and one-on-ones that run long. A gift for them should acknowledge that work without making a joke about performance reviews. A soft tee for the day they're presenting, a hoodie for the office that's always cold during the quarterly push, or a mug for the first coffee before the calendar fills up will all feel like they were chosen with them in mind. Adding the word manager and the year or team name, if there's a second line, makes it theirs. Keep the tone light and it will land well.
All manager review gifts →- A tee for review seasonPut manager review on a light or dark tee, with the team or year on the second line if they're running a particular cycle.
- A mug for the morning calendarAn 11 oz mug gives them something warm to hold before the first calibration meeting of the day.
- A hoodie for long office daysReview season means late nights in the conference room, so a hoodie they can keep on at their desk is a practical choice.
- Matching shirts for the review teamUse the Team Shop to put the same design on every manager's shirt, with each person's name on their own size.
