About this monte vista gift
Monte Vista is a small city in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado, known for its agriculture and its place along the Rio Grande. The people who grew up there tend to carry the town with them, whether they're still in the valley or have moved to a city far away. A Monte Vista shirt is how they claim the place on a school trip, a family reunion or a visit home. Because it's a small town, many people who left will know the name immediately and will enjoy the reminder. Some folks who never lived there still have a connection through family, a job or a stop on a road trip through the valley. A hoodie suits the cold mountain winters, and a mug works for the transplant who wants a daily link to home. Adding a second line with a graduation year, a high school class or a street makes the piece specific to their own story.
