About this new grad rn gift
A new grad RN has just finished the hardest part of getting here and is now starting the job itself, usually on a unit that's short-staffed and full of first-time problems. The first year is long shifts, a lot of learning on the fly, and the first time they walk out after a bad night and wonder if they're any good at this. A gift that says RN and their new start is a quiet message that the work they put in is seen. A tee for the drive home after a double, a hoodie for the cold break room and the walk to the parking garage, or an 11 oz mug that's clearly theirs for the coffee they'll need at 6 a.m. Adding the year they graduated, or the year they earned the license, makes it personal. The one thing to check is the credential line, since new grads usually want exactly the letters they earned, written the way they'd write them.
