About this salt flat gift
Salt Flat is a small place, and people who come from there tend to hold on to it. Whether they grew up in a town where the whole county knows your truck, or they left for school and still say Salt Flat when someone asks where they're from, a shirt with the name is a quiet way of saying home. Small towns are full of details that only locals catch: the water tower, the high school colors, the diner everyone ends up at on Sunday. Put the town name on a shirt for a homecoming or a family reunion and it becomes the thing people point at across a parking lot. For the one who moved away, a mug with Salt Flat on it is a daily reminder of where they started. You can add a second line for a street, a graduating class year or a family name, which makes the design feel like it was made for their particular corner of town.
