About this city manager gift
City managers run the day-to-day machinery of a town: budgets, public works, police and fire staffing, and the long list of things residents call about at night. Many work under an elected council, which means they're often the person in the room who has to explain a rate change or a snowplow schedule to a crowd that didn't ask for either. A gift for them should acknowledge that the job is mostly logistics and patience. A hoodie is a good choice for the early meetings held in cold council chambers and the site walks in January. A mug suits the office, where coffee and budget spreadsheets tend to go together. Adding the city or town name as a second line, or the year they started the role, turns a generic job shirt into something that reflects their community. If you're buying for a whole management team, the Team Shop can print one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
