About this director index gift
A director index is the kind of thing a director keeps close: a working reference, a shorthand for a job that involves a lot of coordinating, scheduling and keeping track of who is doing what. Whatever the exact role, the people who hold it usually spend their days in meetings, on calls and buried in documents, so the gifts they tend to keep are the ones that acknowledge the work without being precious about it. A dark tee for the weekend, a hoodie for the early mornings in the office, or a mug for the desk where the real decisions get made all fit that rhythm. The easiest way to make it theirs is to add their name or their team on a second line, so it reads as a personal mark rather than a generic job shirt. If you are buying for someone who has just been promoted into the role, a mug or hoodie with the title and a year is a good way to mark the step up.
