About this miner gift
Miners work underground or in open pits, often on long rotations away from home, and the people who love them tend to think about safety every time the shift whistle goes. A gift that says miner plainly is a way of saying you see what the job costs. The best ones are the ones they'll actually wear off shift: a soft tee for the truck ride, a hoodie for the cold morning muster, a mug for the coffee that gets them through the first hour in the dark. Add the mine or the crew name, the district, or the year they started, and the shirt stops being a generic mining design and becomes theirs. Many miners are proud of the work and have strong opinions about the boots, the lamp and the lunch cooler, so a gift that respects the craft lands better than one that looks like a costume. If you're shopping for a whole crew, one design with each person's name on their own shirt makes a better gift than another box of donuts.
