About this brooten gift
Brooten is a small town in Stearns County, Minnesota, and that's the detail that will matter to anyone who grew up there or has family still in the area. A small-town shirt says something a big-city one can't: that the person is from a place where everyone knows the grocery clerk and the high school football score still makes the local paper. For someone who left for college or a job in the Twin Cities, a Brooten tee or mug is a quiet way of saying the town is still part of them. For those who never left, it's a proud hometown hoodie for the cold months. Because the town is small, the details that make a gift personal are usually the family ones: a graduation year, a class, the name of the farm or street they grew up on. Add those in the second line of the design and the shirt becomes theirs rather than just a town's.
