About this chaumont gift
Chaumont is a small city in north-central France, the kind of place most people only learn about because someone they know is from there or because they have passed through on the way somewhere else. A person with Chaumont ties usually has a story about it, whether that is a childhood spent in the old town, a family connection, a twinning trip or a few years of studying nearby. Because the name is not a household word in the US, a shirt or mug with Chaumont on it will get a question or two from strangers, and that is part of the fun. For someone who is proud of their roots there, it is a quiet way of saying where they belong. The best version of this gift adds something only they would recognize, such as the year they lived there, a street name or the name of the neighborhood they grew up in. You can type any of that into the second line of a design and watch the preview update before you order.
