About this director phone gift
A director phone is a slightly odd word, so it helps to think about who carries one. A director is usually the person running a production, a department, or a school program, and their phone is the lifeline for everyone else: the cast calling about a schedule change, the crew asking about a location, the parents who want an answer right now. They are the one who somehow picks up on the first ring. A director phone design on a tee, hoodie or mug speaks to that role. It's a little bit of a joke among the people who work with them, and a little bit of a badge of honor for the director. Think about where they spend their time, whether that's on a set, in a rehearsal room or at a school desk, and let that guide the product you choose. A hoodie suits the cold early call, and a mug suits the planning sessions. Add a second line with their production or company name if you want it to feel like theirs.
