About this director user experience gift
A director of user experience usually sits between the designers, the engineers and the people paying for the product, and spends a lot of the week in meetings arguing for the person who will actually use the thing. They read research summaries, sit through usability sessions and pick up the wrong end of a lot of roadmap decisions. A gift that acknowledges that work lands best when it's practical and a little wry. A soft tee or hoodie is good for the long stretch of hybrid days, and a mug suits the coffee they drink while reviewing a prototype. Add their title on the second line, or a company or team name if they'd want it there, and it becomes theirs rather than a generic job shirt. Designs for this role come in several sizes and colors, so you can match what they wear most.
