About this glen elder gift
Glen Elder is a small town in north central Kansas, the kind of place where people know each other by name and the high school football game is still a big deal. Someone who grew up there, or who ended up there for work or family, often carries that hometown identity around for life. A shirt or mug with the town name is a way to say where they're from without a long explanation. It suits the person who left and comes back for holidays, the one who stayed to run a family business, or the new resident who's still learning the local roads. Because the town name is specific and a little unusual, a gift with it tends to get a second look and a question, which gives them a chance to tell the story themselves. You can add a graduation year, a family name or a street on a second line to make it more personal.
