About this honaunau gift
Honaunau is a small place on the Big Island of Hawaii, best known for Pu'uhonua o Honaunau, the old place of refuge on the Kona coast. People tied to it tend to be proud of a quiet, specific corner of the world rather than a big city, so a shirt with the name lands as a statement of where they're from or where their heart is. Because the name is less familiar to most people, the wearer usually gets the question about it, and they enjoy answering it. For someone who grew up there, moved away, or just fell in love with the place on a visit, the design shows you paid attention to the particular place rather than a generic island theme. Pick the product that fits their days: a tee for the beach, a hoodie for cooler evenings, or a mug for the morning coffee that starts the day.
