About this nursing assistant gift
Nursing assistants are often the ones doing the closest, most physical care on a unit, from bathing and turning patients to taking vitals and keeping the floor running between nurses. Their shifts are long and their feet take a beating, so the gifts they keep tend to be the practical ones: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the cold break room, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't wander off. Put their name on it, or the unit they work on, like med-surg, long-term care, or the rehab wing, and it becomes something only they would wear. If they're working toward a certification or license, add that credential and the gift starts to recognize the step they took. Many nursing assistants are quiet about how much they carry, so a gift that says you noticed the work often lands harder than something flashy. Nursing Assistant Week falls in late April in many places, and it's a good time to order.
