About this oak forest gift
Oak Forest is the kind of place people mean when they say they're from the south suburbs of Chicago, and the folks who grew up there tend to carry that around with them. A shirt with Oak Forest on it is how a former resident wears their hometown to a game, a family visit or a Chicago-area reunion. It's also a good fit for someone who's still there and rarely thinks to buy anything with their own town's name on it. What lands best is a detail only a local would clock: the year they graduated from the high school, the street they grew up on, or the neighborhood they still call home. Add that as the second line and the shirt stops being a souvenir and starts being theirs. For the friend who moved away and misses the drive home, a mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily nod to where they started.
