About this oakmont gift
Oakmont is a small place name, and a lot of people who carry it are proud of it in a quiet way. Someone who grew up there, moved away for work, or just likes the way the word sounds will light up at a shirt that says it plainly. A shirt for a town like this is usually about belonging rather than a tourist souvenir: the high school sweatshirt weather, the drive back for the holidays, the people who still know their family name. Because the word is distinctive, a simple design often works better than a busy one. You can add a second line for a street, a year they moved, or the year they were born, and the piece becomes theirs. For someone who has moved far away, a mug with the town name is a daily reminder of where they came from.
