About this winterport gift
Winterport is a small town on the Penobscot River in Maine, and the people who live there tend to be proud of it in a quiet way. A shirt with the town name is how someone shows they're from a place most of the country has never heard of. Think of the harbor-town kid who moved away for work, the family that has been there for generations, or the new arrival who wants to belong. A hoodie is the right pick for the cold months that Maine knows well, and a mug suits the kitchen where the morning coffee happens. Because it's a small place, the name itself carries the gift, so you don't need much more than the town name and maybe a year or a second line for a street, a school or a family name to make it theirs.
