About this dean gift
Dean is a word with two very different people behind it. One is the academic leader who runs a college or a school of something, often the person who signs off on everything and still finds time to show up at the student mixer. The other is a first name or last name, a Dean who has been called Dino, Deano or Deanie since childhood. Either way, a gift that says Dean on it lands because it's specific to them rather than a generic office joke. For the dean, a mug for the early-morning budget meetings or a hoodie for the chilly campus walk fits the job without making it the whole joke. For a Dean by name, a shirt with the name on the front and a second line for a nickname, a hometown or a year is the detail they'll wear for years. If you're not sure which Dean you're buying for, ask a friend, because the right design depends on which life the word belongs to.
