About this director system gift
A director of systems usually sits between the people who keep the network, servers and software running and the executives who decide where the budget goes. Their days are a mix of vendor calls, incident reviews, and long planning sessions about what breaks next and what it costs to fix. Many of them are the first person called at two in the morning, and most of them quietly keep a stack of old cables and a spare laptop for the day something fails. A gift that acknowledges that work lands well. A plain tee or dark tee with director of systems printed on it works for the office or the weekend, and a hoodie covers the cold server room and the early-morning drive. An 11 oz mug is the everyday pick, since the coffee is usually cold by the time they get to it. If you want it to feel personal, add their name or team on the second line so it's clearly theirs and not a generic job shirt.
