About this executive directors gift
Executive directors run organizations that exist on donations, grants and a lot of goodwill, which means they spend as much time in fundraising meetings and board rooms as they do doing the mission work. They're often the one who shows up early to the food bank shift, stays late for the gala setup, and then drives home to answer donor emails. A gift that acknowledges that mix tends to land well. A hoodie is useful for the chilly early mornings at the site, a mug fits the desk that's always buried in paperwork, and a tee works for the volunteer days when they're out front with everyone else. Adding the organization's name or their title as a second line makes the piece theirs, and the whole team can get in on it through the Team Shop if you're gifting a staff of directors or a board. Executive directors often get very few small thank-yous, so a personal piece tends to get kept and used for years.
