About this laundry sorter gift
A laundry sorter spends the shift on their feet, moving bins of linens, uniforms and other people's clothes from one cart to the next, often before the sun comes up. The gifts they keep are the ones that acknowledge the work without making a fuss about it: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the cold dock or a chilly break room, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't wander off during a long sort. The word on the shirt is what makes it land. Keep the job title as it's usually said at their workplace, and use the second line for a name, a shift, or the year they started. A shirt with their name and the job on it reads as something a coworker or family member thought about, which is the point of a gift for someone who works hard on jobs people rarely notice.
