About this model building gift
Model building covers a lot of ground: plastic kits in a garage, scale trains on a basement layout, miniature figures painted one tiny detail at a time. The person who builds models usually has a workbench that takes over a corner of the house, a stash of sprues they're saving for a rainy day, and opinions about glue and paint that they'll share whether you ask or not. A gift that speaks to that works best when it's specific to the hobby. A tee with Model Building on it says they're one of the crowd. Add a second line with the scale they work in, the kind of model they love, or the year they got back into the hobby, and it's clearly theirs. Hoodies are good for the cold garage where most of the building happens, and a mug keeps a cup of coffee within reach of the workbench, where it's most likely to get knocked over by a half-painted hull.
