About this tuba gift
A tuba player is often the one holding the low end of the whole band, which means they spend a lot of rehearsals and concerts doing the job nobody sees until it's missing. Tuba players tend to take that role with a good sense of humor, and a shirt with the instrument on it is an easy way to say you noticed. Marching band, concert band, jazz combo, orchestra, church brass ensemble: the tuba shows up in all of them, and the people who play it often have a running joke about being the most important part of the group that nobody hears. A tuba shirt or hoodie works for practice, for games, or for the long bus ride to a competition. A mug suits the early morning rehearsal or the study hall where they're working on their part. Pick the design that matches how they play, add their name or their group, and it becomes a gift that says you know what they do.
