About this director control gift
Director control is a job that mostly happens out of view. Someone is watching the screens, calling the cues, and keeping a production or a broadcast from falling apart while everyone else looks at the performers. A gift for someone in that role should respect how much they hold in their head at once, and how often they're the calmest voice in a loud room. A tee for the drive to the venue, a hoodie for the cold control booth, or a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't walk off the console all say you see the work. Put their name on the design, or add a line for the show or the venue they run most often. If you're buying for a whole crew, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a better thank-you than another catered lunch. The wording on these designs is fully yours to set, so the gift can say exactly what they do.
