About this overly gift

Overly is a small-town name, and I don't know enough about it to write about the place itself, so this page is really about the person who'd get the gift. Someone with a hometown name like this is usually proud of it in a quiet way: they know exactly which roads lead there and what the town looks like from the highway. A shirt or mug with the name is a way of saying where they're from without a long explanation. For a homesick relative, a mug on the kitchen counter is a daily reminder. For a friend who grew up there, a hoodie is something they'll wear for years. You can make the gift theirs by adding a second line with the year they left, the high school class, or the street they grew up on, so the design stops being just a place name and starts telling their story.
