About this copy manager gift
A copy manager usually lives in the gap between a deadline and a last-minute change, catching the typo nobody else saw and making sure the headline says what it was supposed to say. Their day runs on proofs, style guides and the question of whether the comma goes inside the quotation marks. Gifts that land for them tend to be practical and a little wry: a mug for the first cup of coffee before the editorial meeting, a hoodie for the cold office where the air conditioning never gets adjusted. Putting copy manager on the shirt tells them you know what the job is called and that you think it matters. If they've been promoted or moved teams, the same design works for the new title. Copy managers are often the least thanked people in the room, so a shirt with their job on it is a small way to say their work was noticed.
