About this engineering professor gift
Engineering professors spend their days between lecture halls, office hours and stacks of problem sets, and most of them have a lab or a whiteboard full of half-finished sketches they'd never throw away. The gifts they tend to keep are the ones that nod to that life: a comfortable tee for a long afternoon of grading, a hoodie for the chilly lecture hall, or a mug for the first coffee of a committee-filled morning. Add their field or their subject area as a second line, something like mechanical, civil or electrical, so the shirt says what they teach as well as what they do. If the gift is for a retiring professor or a colleague who just earned tenure, a mug with their title and the year is a quiet way to mark the moment. Shoppers buying for a department can use the Team Shop to put every faculty member's name on their own shirt in one order.
