About this tanana gift
Tanana is a small place, and that's the first thing to keep in mind. Its name is the kind of thing that lives in conversation with the people who grew up there, so the gifts that land are the ones that feel like they came from someone who knows the place. A shirt with Tanana across the chest is a way to carry home with them on a trip, to a school reunion or to a new town where nobody has heard of it. Because you may be shopping for someone who left and misses it, a mug on their desk or a hoodie for a cold morning gives them something they can use every day. For the family member who stayed, a tee for a summer event or a onesie for a new baby born there can mark that they're part of the place's next generation. Add a second line with a year or a family name and the gift becomes theirs.
