About this troupsburg gift
Troupsburg is a small town in Steuben County, New York, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. A shirt with the town name is how they say where they're from, whether that's at a reunion, a high school homecoming or a job two states away where nobody has heard of it. Small towns have their own rhythms, so the best versions of this gift tie the name to something personal: the year they left, the year they came back, the street they grew up on. A hoodie suits the cold months, which come early and stay long in that part of New York. A mug works for the parent or grandparent still living in town, the one who knows every road by heart. If you don't know the town well, ask the person which years or nicknames mean the most to them, and add those on the second line of the design.
