About this general foreman gift
A general foreman runs the crew on a job site, which means they're the one who knows where the materials are, who called in sick, and what the inspector is going to ask about next. They usually come up through the trades, so they've swung a hammer or run a crane before they were handed the clipboard and the radio. Their days start before the crew and end after it, and the work is mostly keeping people safe and the schedule on track. A gift that shows you know that lands well: a hoodie they can throw on in the cold before the first shift, a tee for the weekend, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the trailer coffee. Put GENERAL FOREMAN on it as the main word, and add a second line for their company, their crew or the year they got promoted if you know it. That detail is what makes it theirs rather than a generic job shirt.
