About this record label internship gift
A record label internship is usually a long stretch of unglamorous work with a few real moments mixed in: answering emails, logging tracks, running errands for the A&R team, and then, now and then, hearing a demo you'll remember for years. Interns in this world are often students or early-career people who love music enough to take low pay for access, and they tend to live in hoodies and headphones. A shirt or hoodie with their internship title on it is a nice nod to that stage, the sort of thing they'll wear to a show or to the studio. Add the label's name if you know it, or the year they started, so it reads as their own moment. A mug works well for the early-morning commute and the long days at a desk. Keep the message light and warm, since the best gift for someone at this stage is the sense that you noticed how hard they're working.
