About this software lead gift
A software lead is usually the person who keeps a team moving when the sprint plan falls apart, the one who reads the pull requests before standup and still finds time to unblock the junior engineer stuck on a build error. They spend a lot of their week in meetings, reviews and planning docs, so a gift that's a little bit funny and clearly about their work tends to land well. A tee or hoodie with the title on it is a nice nod to a promotion or a first lead role, and a mug is the easiest daily reminder that someone noticed. If you want it to feel personal, add the team name or the product they ship on a second line, or a year for when they took the role. Coworkers who chip in for a group gift can use the Team Shop to put every teammate's name on their own shirt, which is a good way to mark a launch or the end of a hard quarter.
